Has the full moon in Gemini got you feeling like this?

Are you feeling a bit off this week?

A member of my Get Real Community on Facebook asked this question yesterday.

Unfortunately for us, yes there's something going on with the planets and this week's full moon is shining a light on it.

This is a Full Cold Moon in Gemini and it's also synced up with Mars. Not only is this the planet of action taking but also anger too. So if you're starting to feel tetchy and impatient, this could be the reason.

Gemini's split personality might mean you're wanting to be all 'Go go go!' over these next two weeks and do ALL the things before Christmas. Then the flip side of that is you might find yourself feeling exhausted and reflecting back on all the goals you set for yourself but haven't achieved this year.

We Might Not Be Our Best Selves

This week, with the power of Gemini and Mars, we have to understand that we might not be our best selves, and that's going to affect others too who also might not be feeling their usual chirpy souls.

This energy is going to be around all week and it could trigger you a lot. The split personality of Gemini may have you questioning yourself and feeling very up and down. You're possibly going to feel ungrounded, indecisive, and uncertain.

Then the anger of Mars smack bang in alignment with Gemini means this might throw all communication up in the air, have it feeling like a total sh*it show and leave you annoyed and angry. People may well be expressing their anger in your direction and that’s never nice!

The best way to ride this out this week is to just shush.

'Respond with love or don't respond at all' is the biggest advice I can give you this week. To yourself and others.

You're Going to Be 'In' Your Head

This full moon is going to have you feeling quite ungrounded and living in your head. Expect your brain to be whirring, and not necessarily in the kindest and most loving way to yourself. You might find you give yourself a hard time this week.

'I'm a sh*t parent'

'I'm a sh*t partner'

'I'm a sh*t friend'

This kind of thing might be coming up for you as you go more and more into your head and really end up feeling not very grounded at all.

In order to solve this, and because of the time of year, you might have a tendency to try and buy your way out of this feeling. There may be thoughts of overly extravagant purchases for Christmas for the people you feel like you've been sh*t to this past year.

You haven't. Take a breather. It's not that bad. Remember your full moon affirmation this month - 'I am always doing my best and that is good enough'.

Write Your Letting Go List

With everything feeling like it might be in a bit of a spin this week and you questioning everything, I encourage you to Get Real and honest about it.

List out all these things that are coming up for you.

Then next to each item on your list, write some cold hard facts about it.

  • What evidence do you have that you're a sh*t parent?

  • What facts are there that categorically confirm you are a sh*t partner?

  • Have you really achieved nothing this last year? Where's the proof?

Just taking this time to think about this stuff and show you that it's all in your head should help. Finding the evidence will be so important and you can flip this to see the truth. It's time to stop punishing ourselves through this and actively and consciously choose love.

The full moon is always about letting go of what no longer serves us. In addition to your list above (which I really encourage you to burn on the full moon), write out your intentions for letting other things go.

I want you to specifically think about the things that come up for you time and time and time again. Write it down and burn it.

How to Ground Yourself

In order to combat this 'living in your head' effect it's time to get you grounded.

  • Grounding Sheet/Mat

I invested in a grounding sheet for my bed. Now, these things aren't cheap so if there are no available funds or you're not putting anything else on your Christmas list, don't think you have to get one.

I do like mine and feel the benefits. There have been studies where positive effects have been documented after using grounding mats or sheets. They are meant to replicate the feeling of connecting to the earth barefoot by creating an electrical connection from the Earth to your body. But you can also get outside and hug a tree, or put your bare feet on the earth and that’s completely free. You might look insane but it won’t cost you a penny 🤣

  • Foods From the Ground

Eating root vegetables can help with grounding so cooking up a hearty stew or casserole packed with carrot, swede, parsnips, potatoes and any other root veg is advised.

  • Epsom Salt Foot Bath

This one is my personal favourites and something I always advise to do after an energy session with me. A friend of mine bought me a plug-in foot spa for my birthday, knowing this is what I love to do to ground myself after working with energy.

  • Grounding Crystals

Think about your root chakra here and the crystals that correspond with that. They are usually red or black in colour. Garnet, hematite, black obsidian, red jasper, bloodstone, carnelian, black tourmaline, tiger's eye, and smokey quartz are great choices to have around. Hold them and use in meditation or stick them in your pocket. As it is a full moon this week, use the light of the moon to charge these crystals on your window sill at night.

  • Grounding Audio

Again, thinking about the root chakra, you can search 'root chakra music' on your streaming service of choice. Play this while you work and rest to really help ground you at this time.

  • Energising Audio
