Build real financial freedom
Not necessarily rich. Not retired at 45. Not sipping something expensive on a yacht while your passive income pays the bills.
Just... further ahead.
You work. You earn. You’ve built a career, a business, a family or perhaps all three.
Your income may even be considerably higher than it was ten years ago. And yet somehow, the financial security you assumed would come with all of that hasn’t quite materialised.
There’s never quite as much left as there should be.
Saving happens, until something happens.
You know you should probably be doing more with pensions, investments or long-term wealth.
You make good money decisions... and then sometimes make completely contradictory ones.
And every so often you look at your finances and think... How am I still here?
You know enough about money to know what you should be doing.
That’s probably not the problem.
The problem is that knowing what to do with money and actually doing it consistently are two completely different things.
That’s where The Money Shift begins.

I’m not going to tell you to cancel Netflix, stop buying coffee and put the spare £4.72 into an ISA. Because financial freedom isn’t built by making your life progressively smaller.
And this isn’t a manifestation programme where we’re going to write £1 million on a piece of paper and wait for the universe to sort out the details.
Money is both numbers and behaviour.
The numbers matter. But so does the person making the decisions.
Your history with money.
What you believe about it.
What happens when you receive it.
What triggers you to spend it.
Whether you feel comfortable keeping it.
How much you allow yourself to earn.
What you do when life goes sideways.
And the identity you’ve built around money without necessarily realising it.
The Money Shift works on both sides of the equation.
We change the behaviours and patterns underneath your financial decisions.
Then we put practical financial systems around the person you’ve become.
So you don’t just know what to do with money.
You actually do it.
Money isn’t just for some imaginary future version of you.
You should be able to enjoy your life, spend intentionally on things that matter and stop swinging between restriction and “sod it”.
The boiler breaks. Work changes. Business slows down. Someone gets ill. A relationship ends.
Life does what life does. Financial resilience gives you breathing room.
Savings. Assets. Pensions. Investments. Wealth.
Not because accumulating money is the point.
Because choice is.
Not avoiding the numbers.
Not vaguely knowing.
Not promising yourself you’ll sort it out “when things calm down”.
Knowing.
Imagine having money arrive and knowing what happens to it next.
Having a financial buffer that means an unexpected bill is irritating rather than terrifying.
Watching the amount you keep begin to grow alongside the amount you earn.
Making spending decisions without guilt because they fit the life you’re deliberately building.
Knowing what you’re working towards.
And perhaps most importantly... trusting yourself with money.
That’s the shift we’re creating.
Not financial perfection.
Not endless restriction.
Not becoming someone who enjoys spreadsheets quite as much as I do.
Clarity. Confidence. Choice.
Over ten weeks, we’re going to understand the person currently making your financial decisions, change what’s getting in your way and build a financial life that works in the real world.
Not just while you’re motivated. Not just until Christmas.
For the life you’re actually living.
Your Financial Reality
Before we change anything, we need to know where we are. No judgement. No shame. No pretending.
You’ll establish your current financial position and create your starting Money Shift Score. We’ll look at what comes in, what goes out, what you’ve accumulated, what you owe and how financially resilient you currently are. You’ll leave the week knowing exactly where you’re starting. Because clarity changes things.
Your Money Personality
How do you naturally relate to money?
Do you spend easily but struggle to keep it? Save compulsively but struggle to enjoy it? Avoid looking at it altogether? Feel safest when you’re earning more?
Different people can receive exactly the same financial advice and behave completely differently with it. You’ll identify your natural patterns so we can build a financial system that works with you, not against you.
Your Money Story
None of us arrives at adulthood financially neutral. We absorb ideas about money from our parents, our childhood, our culture, relationships, work and experiences.
Some are useful. Some quietly run our financial lives decades later.
This week we’ll uncover the stories you’ve learned about earning, spending, debt, wealth, security and what people “like you” are allowed to have. Then we’ll decide which ones still get to come with you.
Your Money Triggers
You can have the world’s most beautiful budget and still blow it after a terrible Tuesday. Because money decisions aren’t always rational.
Stress. Fear. Success. Boredom. Comparison. Reward. Scarcity. Even receiving more money can trigger behaviours you don’t expect.
This week you’ll identify what causes your financial patterns to kick in and learn how to interrupt them before they make the decision for you.
Your Money Identity
This is where things get interesting. Who do you believe you are with money?
Someone who’s “bad with money”? Someone who always earns but never keeps it? Someone who isn’t an investor? Someone who has to work incredibly hard to make money? Someone who will sort it all out one day?
Your financial behaviour will continually try to prove your identity right. So instead of repeatedly forcing new habits onto an old identity, we’re going underneath them. You’ll decide who you’re becoming with money and begin building the evidence to support it.
Understanding yourself matters. But insight without action is just interesting information.
So now we turn what you’ve learned into financial change.
Make more
How much money are you actually willing to receive?
We’ll look at income, earning, pricing, asking, opportunity and the behaviours that affect how much money reaches you in the first place.
Because you cannot save, invest or build wealth with money you never receive.
Spend better
Not “never buy anything enjoyable again.”
Better.
We’ll look at where your money goes, what spending genuinely improves your life and where money is disappearing without giving you much in return.
The aim isn’t deprivation.
It’s making sure your spending reflects what you actually value.
Keep and grow more
Earning money isn’t the same as building wealth.
We’ll create systems that allow some of the money flowing through your life to stay.
You’ll work on reserves, saving, long-term wealth building and creating the foundations for your money to grow.
Where regulated financial advice is required, I’ll make that distinction clear. This programme teaches financial behaviour, principles and systems. It does not provide personalised regulated investment advice.
Reduce what you owe
Debt and financial obligations can quietly consume future income before you’ve even earned it.
We’ll look at what you owe, what it’s costing you and how to create a sensible plan for reducing the obligations that are limiting your financial choices.
Without shame.
Without panic.
Just a plan.

What do you actually want money to make possible?
A beautiful home?
More time with your children?
Travel?
Leaving a job you hate?
Working three days instead of five?
Starting something of your own?
Helping your children financially?
Feeling safe enough to take a risk?
Knowing future-you is taken care of?
Money is only useful because of the life it allows you to build.
Your Freedom Compass turns vague ideas about “financial freedom” into something much more powerful: your version of enough.
You’ll leave The Money Shift knowing what you’re building towards and what needs to happen financially to get there.
How you naturally relate to money.
What you actually do with it.
What you’ve learned about money and success.
What causes you to react, avoid, spend, save, chase or freeze.
Who you believe you are in relation to money.

Accumulate
Let Go
What does enough look like for you, and what kind of life are you building with it?

What does enough look like for you, and what kind of life are you building with it?
→ You earn money but don’t seem to accumulate as much as you think you should.
→ Your income has increased over the years without creating the freedom you expected.
→ You understand the basics of money but struggle to implement them consistently.
→ You’ve tried budgets, trackers or saving plans and eventually drifted back into old habits.
→ You want to understand why you behave the way you do with money.
→ You want practical systems as well as the psychological work.
→ You’re ready to take responsibility for your financial future without beating yourself up about your financial past.
→ You want money to create more choice in your life.
You’re currently unable to meet essential living costs or are experiencing serious financial distress.
In that situation, paid personal-development education shouldn’t be the priority. Specialist free debt and financial-support organisations are a better first step.
The Money Shift also isn’t for you if you’re looking for:
→ A get-rich-quick scheme
→ Personalised investment recommendations
→ Someone else to fix your finances for you
→ Stock tips
→ A magic manifestation formula
→ Another course to buy, watch two modules of and forget exists
Every week follows the same structure so insight becomes action.
Understand the principle.
See how it shows up in your own financial life.
Apply the Receive, Expend, Accumulate and Let Go lens where relevant.
Decide what changes.
Do something with what you’ve learned.
Create something practical you’ll keep using.
Notice the proof that you’re becoming someone who does money differently.
You’ll begin the programme by establishing your baseline. A score out of 100 across the areas that contribute to financial strength and freedom.
Then we’ll measure it again. Because “I feel better about money” matters. But I also want you to be able to see what’s actually changed.
Your score gives you a way to measure the shift in your behaviours, systems and financial position.
Quite a lot of it. Because I’ve spent 26 years working with numbers and one thing has become very clear: The numbers are rarely just about the numbers.
I’ve been a Chartered Accountant, Finance Director, Managing Director, founder and business owner. I’ve worked inside businesses ranging from start-ups to multi-million-pound companies. I’ve helped take businesses from struggling to exit. I’ve taught. I’ve mentored.
And I’ve spent years studying the other side of change too: behaviour, identity, psychology and the beliefs underneath the decisions we make.
Eventually those two worlds collided.
Because telling someone what the financially sensible decision is doesn’t automatically mean they’ll make it. Humans aren’t spreadsheets.

I’m a Chartered Accountant and I’ve spent 26 years in business.
But I’m not particularly interested in teaching you how to become obsessed with money.
I’m interested in what money can do.
The decisions it lets you make.
The environments it lets you create.
The experiences it lets you have.
The people it lets you help.
The time it can give back.
And the feeling of knowing that when life changes, you have options.
I’ve rebuilt parts of my own life more than once.
And one of the things I’ve learned is that freedom rarely arrives because everything suddenly becomes perfect.
It comes from building enough strength, financially and personally, that you can choose what happens next.
That’s what I want for you.

One programme designed to change both the person making your financial decisions and the systems surrounding them. So you can:
No. This isn’t a programme exclusively for high earners.
However, it is designed for people with enough financial stability to work on improving behaviours, systems and longer-term financial strength. If you’re currently unable to cover essential living costs, I’d rather you access appropriate free financial support than spend money on this programme.
No.
We’ll absolutely look at spending and cash flow, because pretending the numbers don’t matter would be ridiculous.
But budgeting is only one small part of your financial behaviour.
We’re looking at how you receive, spend, keep, grow and use money, and the psychology and identity underneath those decisions.
No.
The Money Shift provides financial education, not personalised regulated financial advice.
We’ll talk about principles around building wealth and your financial future, but I won’t recommend individual investments or financial products to you.
Then you may find the programme particularly interesting.
This isn’t Financial Literacy 101.
You may already understand pensions, savings and compound growth perfectly well and still recognise that your actual behaviour doesn’t always match your knowledge.
The gap between knowing and doing is exactly what we’re interested in.
Good.
Then you’ve probably already proved that information alone isn’t enough.
We’re going to look at what keeps pulling you back towards the old behaviour and build the practical structures that make the new behaviour easier to maintain.
Approximately 60 to 90 minutes a week, plus the small actions you choose to implement in your real financial life.
This isn’t supposed to become another part-time job.
The point is to change how you handle the money that’s already moving through your life.
No.
We explore beliefs, identity, emotional triggers and past experiences with money, but The Money Shift is an educational financial behaviour programme, not therapy or mental-health treatment.
Absolutely.
But this isn’t a business finance programme.
You’re here as you, whether your income comes from employment, self-employment, a company or some combination of them.
Another pay rise won’t necessarily fix it.
Another good month in the business won’t necessarily fix it.
Another budgeting app probably won’t fix it.
Because if earning more automatically created financial freedom, every high earner would already have it.
The real shift happens when you understand what’s happening underneath your financial decisions and build the structures that support better ones.
Then something changes.
Money stops being this vague thing you’re perpetually supposed to be “better at”.
It becomes a tool.
A resource.
A source of possibility.
Something you know how to receive, use, keep and grow.
And something that gives you choices.
